Kendrick Hardy

It might be a bit unfair for Hardy to be playing in C-USA after getting a flood of SEC scholarship offers coming out of high school, but Southern Miss isn't complaining. Despite only playing in only 10 games last year (and getting just a combined eight carries in two of those), he still led the team with 903 yards on the ground, averaging 6.5 yards per carry in his redshirt freshman season. His fantasy upside is limited by the presence of Desmond Johnson, who offers Southern Miss a bit more wiggle and pass-catching ability than Hardy, but Hardy's best days remain ahead of him.

Hardy is one of the best Southern Mississippi recruits in recent years, as he chose the Golden Eagles over Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Oregon and plenty of others. He's more of a bruiser than the team's other options, and he should emerge as a feature back for the team at some point. His workload could be sporadic, however, because Desmond Johnson and Tracey Lampley are also very good running back talents. He's a high-risk/high-reward pick in CUSA-only leagues, and he's definitely worth monitoring in others.
