November 29, 2015
Williams tallied six catches totaling 47 yards and a touchdown Friday as Washington State fell to Washington 45-10 on the road in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
With Peyton Bender making his first career start under center for Washington State in place of the injured Luke Falk in Friday's contest, Williams was left recording his lowest receiving yardage total in five starts and second-lowest of the year. The senior recorded at least six catches for a fifth straight appearance and reached the end zone for the fifth time in four outings and 11th time this season in the loss, however. The Pomona, CA native exits the 2015 regular season just three yards shy of eclipsing the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time in his collegiate career and currently trailing only teammate Gabriel Marks for most touchdown receptions by a Pac-12 receiver (11).

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2013
2012
Williams, 6-2, 190, flashed major upside the last three years but never put it all together on a reliable basis. With Vince Mayle and Isiah Myers graduated, though, Williams should get thrown into his most visible role yet. Williams is clearly the most explosive WSU receiver, as he led the team in yards per catch each of the last three years. That includes last season in which he caught 43 passes for 656 yards and nine touchdowns in 12 games.
Williams and Gabe Marks are in line to make up for the loss of Marquess Wilson, and if Connor Halliday has a break out year, Williams could put up some fairly decent numbers. He finished 2012 with 546 yards and three touchdowns on 34 receptions, giving him the highest yards per catch average of any of the viable returning receivers at 16.06.
Williams is one of the nation's most intriguing boom-or-bust targets at receiver. As a big, lanky receiver noted for his ability to make acrobatic plays downfield, he heads into the fall drawing some comparisons to his immensely effective star teammate Marquess Wilson. Even though he's unproven, the hype surrounding the redshirt freshman is enough to make him a decent gamble pick in all formats, and a player who should probably be owned in Pac-12-only leagues.
