Entering NFL draft
Hazelton announced via his Instagram on Sunday morning that he is declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
After leading the Hokies with 82 catches for 1,329 yards and 16 touchdowns over two seasons, Hazelton decided to transfer to Missouri for his final year but did not put up the numbers that were expected from him. Hazelton finished the 2020 season with 30 catches for 397 yards and one touchdown. He dealt with a hamstring injury during the preseason that slowed him up to begin the year, then had to miss a game due to the team's COVID-19 protocol and also struggled mightily with dropping the football. Hazelton wanted a chance to go out and prove himself one last time in the Music City Bowl game against Iowa but unfortunately wasn't able to do so after it had to be canceled due to ongoing COVID-19 issues within Missouri's program. Despite a down year, Hazelton has shown he has the tools to play at the next level and will test his skills come draft day in April.
