Lersch has fully recovered from the ankle injury that plagued him in 2018, Barry Bottino of the Northwest Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Lersch made the transition from linebacker to tight end in 2017. The redshirt junior only appeared in three games last season -- catching six passes for 65 yards and two scores -- as he battled a nagging ankle issue. Now healthy, Lersch figures to back up the top two tight ends Mitchell Brinkman and Daniel Crawford, who each saw sizable roles in Saturday's season opener against Illinois State.
