January 4, 2012
Sanu will declare for the 2012 NFL Draft, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
ANALYSIS
Sanu could be a first-round pick and the second wideout off the board behind Justin Blackmon. Sanu has good size (listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds) and just knows how to make plays. He's a natural catcher and is dangerous once he has the ball, showing good explosiveness and speed. Sanu is also a superb wildcat quarterback and shows a lot of toughness and power. Despite playing with below average quarterbacks at Rutgers, Sanu caught 115 passes for 1,206 yards and seven touchdowns this year.

2010 Fantasy Outlook
Sanu came out of nowhere as a freshman last year to turn into one of the nation's best all-purpose playmakers. He caught 51 passes for 639 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 346 yards and five touchdowns on 62 carries. He even threw a 38-yard touchdown pass and twice converted on two-point attempts. It seems reasonable that his carries would decrease and catches would increase this year given the graduation of last year's top wideout, Tim Brown, but the sum of Sanu's production shouldn't be any worse than last year's. He might be Rutgers' best player, so a main objective of the Rutgers staff should be to get him the ball as much as possible. Sanu should be a high pick in Big East-only leagues and deserves serious consideration in all other formats.
