2010 Fantasy Outlook
There isn't a trickier position battle in the country to assess the Southern Mississippi quarterback spot. Austin Davis entered the year as starter in 2009, and he performed quite well, throwing just two interceptions to 10 touchdowns. But then an injury put Young in the lineup, and he arguably did even better. His completion percentage wasn't as good as Davis' was, but he was a better big-play threat and threw 16 touchdowns to just three interceptions. In addition, Young proved to be a much better runner than Davis, going for 294 yards and a touchdown on 73 attempts. Who starts this year at No. 1 and who finishes there is anyone's guess, so Young is an extremely risky pick in any format. His value is certainly higher in CUSA-only leagues, though.
