Markus Wheaton

If James Rodgers (knee) can't return to his past form, Wheaton could be Rodgers 2.0 for the Beavers. He established himself as a similar dual-threat as a runner and receiver last year, leading the team with 660 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver while adding 235 yards and two scores on the ground. If Rodgers misses time or proves to be less relevant going forward, Wheaton's value skyrockets. If Rodgers is able to revive his game, however, it likely means another year of only modest exposure for Wheaton.

Wheaton caught 8 passes for 89 yards last year and ran for 79 yards and a touchdown. He's extremely athletic and a big-play threat, meaning he's the next big-play, all-purpose receiver after James Rodgers leaves town. His role in 2010, however, should be modest.
