Fitzgerald Toussaint is the set-in-stone starter at running back fro Michigan after he posted a 1,041-yard season while averaging 5.6 yards per carry in 2011. That means it would likely take injuries for Smith to obtain fantasy relevance in 2012. Smith was the third-leading rusher in Ann Arbor last season, compiling 298 yards and averaging an even six yards per carry, but with Toussaint and Denard Robinson returning in 2012, Smith is too far down in Michigan's carry rotation to make much of an impact.
