Tyshon Goode

Goode enters 2012 as the favorite to top the depth chart for the Golden Flashes in 2012. With Chris Gilbert graduated, Goode’s 316 receiving yards are the most of any returning receiver. Kent State doesn’t often throw the ball and when it does, the Golden Flashes aren’t particularly efficient, as they completed only 14.3 passes per game last season. Thus, Goode is unlikely to emerge as a factor outside of MAC-only leagues.

Goode is a big talent by MAC standards, but his productivity is badly limited by the poor quarterback play at Kent State. If that can improve, Goode can make an impact in all fantasy scenarios.

Goode came out of nowhere as a freshman to catch 53 passes for 755 yards and five touchdowns last year, including a particularly encouraging five-game stretch where he totaled 35 catches for 575 yards and five touchdowns. Goode looked ready to emerge as a star in the MAC last year, and he should be a high wideout selection in MAC-only leagues. Keep an eye on him in other formats, too.
