The Tigers are expected to open up the passing game under new offensive coordinator Cam Cameron this season. Mettenberger returns for his senior campaign after a junior season that saw him throw for 2,609 yards and 12 touchdowns. His top four receivers are back and, given the questions at the running back position, should be primed for a big year. Mettenberger was impressive in the spring game, completing 12 of 19 passes for 236 yards and two scores.

Les Miles doesn't love to throw the football and Mettenberger probably won't change that philosophy. Last season, the Tigers went with a two-headed attack at quarterback, platooning Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee. The duo averaged a mere 19.9 combined attempts per game, last in the SEC. Meanwhile, LSU returns similar talent in the running game, so there's not much reason for LSU to alter its approach. Mettenberger has generated positive reviews heading into fall, but his opportunities appear limited from a fantasy perspective.
