Jewel Hampton

Hampton was excellent as a true freshman in 2008, he rushed for 463 yards and seven scores, averaging 5.1 yards per carry and was expected to step up and replace Shonn Greene as a playmaker at running back. However, he suffered a knee injury before the season began and missed the entire year. He should be completely healed for this season, but he is not going to be the workhorse with other good options to carry the ball. He is extremely quick, and if he stays on the field and gets carries he had the potential to put up big numbers.
