Syracuse: Averin Collier Ineligible for 2010
August 9, 2010
Collier is academically ineligible to play in 2010, the Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
ANALYSIS
Collier is a talented player and one that we thought might have been in a position to break out in 2010. With his absence, look for Syracuse to make an effort to tweak whatever rules it has to to get currently suspended running back Delone Carter back on the team, as they'll be just about out of luck at running back if both Collier and Carter are unavailable this year.

2010 Fantasy Outlook
The former four-star recruit averaged 6.83 yards per carry and scored twice on his 12 carries as a sophomore last year. If starter Delone Carter isn't reinstated by the team, Collier instantly becomes a major breakout candidate in Big East-only leagues. Until then, just keep an eye on him.
