Florida State: Chris Davis Looks Good in Scrimmage
Davis caught five passes for 162 yards in Florida State's Tuesday scrimmage, the Tallahassee Democrat reports.

Two of his catches were for touchdowns, including a 48-yard catch against linebacker Derek Nicholson. Davis and quarterback Drew Weatherford have been clicking in the preseason. Offensive coordinator Jeff Bowden pointed to Davis as the one receiver who can be consistently depended upon during the preseason. "He had a spectacular catch down on that deep ball," Bowden said. "He showed up. He's the one guy that is standing out every scrimmage we have. He needs some help around him from other people." Davis will need that help as the Seminoles open the season September 4th at Miami.
