Scores twice against Memphis
Freeman had six carries for 74 yards and two touchdowns with two catches for 19 yards in the defeat at Memphis on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Freeman was the team's leading rusher against the Tigers, although his productivity is largely hidden due to a 68-yard rush that accounted for almost all of his yardage. It counts the same, however, giving him his second game of the season with at least 70 rushing yards and his first multi-score contest as a senior. Next week Freeman and the Mustangs play host to East Carolina to try and start another winning streak.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Freeman was an afterthought for the first half of last season, averaging only 3.8 carries for 12.0 yards per game in the first eight contests, but he changed the narrative with 15.0 carries for 72.8 yards per game over the last four outings. That propelled him to SMU's starter by the end of the year, a job title he'll likely hold when 2019 kicks off. That won't translate to volume like it would with most teams due to SMU's Air Raid offense, but his explosive display of carrying to end his junior season showed what he can do within the system.
