Barnes was utilized more often in 2018, rushing for 819 yards and seven touchdowns on 146 carries. He surpasses the 100-yard plateau twice, scampering for 108 yards and 128 yards against Oklahoma and Kansas in back-to-back weeks. The third-year tailback has the starting job all but locked up, although Dalvin Warmack and Justin Silmon both have veteran experience and could pilfer some of Barnes’ carries. Nonetheless, the Wildcats’ run-heavy offense figures to provide Barnes with plenty of opportunities to put up productive fantasy numbers, as Kansas State averaged 199.8 yards per game on the ground a season ago. He’s expected to shoulder the load out of the backfield throughout the 2018 campaign and is talented enough to challenge for 1,000 yards despite Kansas State's depth of options in the run game that also includes a pair of mobile quarterbacks.
