Marquis Young

Young was very promising in 2015, emerging from a crowded Minutemen backfield to establish himself as a potential budding star during his freshman year. Most of the competition for carries has since graduated (Jamal Wilson) or transferred (Shadrach Abrokwah, Lorenzo Woodley), so Young should see an elevated role in 2016, setting the stage for a big breakout. Young finished last year with 960 yards and seven touchdowns on just 152 carries, good for an average of 6.3 yards per carry. With 200 or more carries likely on the horizon, Young should emerge as one of the conference's top players.
