The junior running back had a strong 2016 on a per-carry basis, averaging 5.96 YPC, but he fell way behind sophomore Mark Walton in Miami's backfield pecking order. Yearby's 102 carries in 2016 were less than half of what he saw as a sophomore, which makes his decision to go leave early for the draft all the more curious. Even with some big names going back to school for their respective senior seasons, 2017 still features a loaded crop of running backs. Yearby (5-9, 200) is a well-built runner that has certainly shown flashes of what it takes to be a successful back at the next level, particularly with his nimble feet and quick cutting ability. Still, Yearby will likely need a strong combine and pro day to vault himself into the middle rounds at this juncture.
