Nabs touchdown against Ohio State
Darboh caught eight of 11 targets for 68 yards in Saturday's loss to Ohio State.
ANALYSIS
Darboh bounced back Saturday following his muted outing against Indiana as he tied his season-high in receptions in a single game with eight. He wasn't able to do much after the catch, however, as he averaged just 8.5 yards per reception. Fortunately Darboh was able to reach paydirt as he caught the game-tying touchdown towards the end of regulation. Darboh finishes his junior campaign with very similar numbers (52 receptions, 826 yards, 7 TD) from 2015 (58 receptions, 727 yards, 5 TD), but he proved to be a more explosive downfield threat with greater touchdown upside this season.

Last season saw one of the more drastic program turnarounds in recent memory as Michigan went from a shell of its former glory days to an awakened giant under the leadership of Jim Harbaugh. Darboh and the passing game was one huge reason behind the turnaround. Though generally thought of as a smashmouth offense, Michigan was ninth in the nation in passing yards per game in November (335.0 YPG), besting the likes of Clemson, Texas Tech, and Oregon. While quarterback Jake Rudock is gone, the fact remains that Darboh and fellow senior wideout Jehu Chesson will be back for what should be a playoff contender. Darboh (6-2, 216), is coming off his best season as a Wolverine, hauling in 58 of 96 targets (60.4%) for 727 yards (12.5 YPR) and five scores. Whether it’s John O’Korn or Wilton Speight under center, Darboh should be in line for plenty of targets this season. Chesson had better per-target numbers last season and could ultimately be the No.1 guy, but Darboh should be able to at least match his numbers from last season and if he can improve upon his efficiency he could push for a 1,000 yard season.
