Oklahoma State: Josh Stewart Bound For Pros
January 9, 2014
Stewart has elected to skip his senior season and declare for the 2014 NFL Draft, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Stewart battled a slew of injuries to finish with just 60 catches for 707 yards in 2013 after racking up 1,210 receiving yards as a sophomore, but improved production in the return game could make him an attractive target for NFL teams looking for a potential game-breaker. He's likely to be a third-day selection and could have an impact right away if he lands in a favorable passing offense.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2013
2012
Go ahead and rank Stewart significantly higher than this if you're in a PPR league, as few receivers in the nation figure to catch more passes in 2013. Stewart might otherwise lack fantasy upside, however, because bigger Oklahoma State targets like Blake Jackson, Tracy and Charlie Moore are better bets to provide big plays and touchdowns. Stewart primarily moves the chains, as seen by the fact that he had only seven touchdowns on 101 catches in 2012, while Jackson and the Moores posted 13 touchdowns on 84 catches.
With Justin Blackmon and Josh Cooper (192 receptions last year) playing in the NFL this year, a big opportunity awaits Stewart. He finished last year with promising numbers (19 catches for 291 yards and two scores), and he should make a good push for some of the catches Blackmon and Cooper left behind. He's worth a late pick in Big 12-only leagues.
