The 6-foot-6, 215-pound McEvoy was a top junior college recruit from Arizona Western College who turned down offers from Florida, Oregon, and West Virginia to play his games at Camp Randall. He is a dark horse to win the starting job and is a talented dual-threat player who threw for 1,813 yards, 24 touchdowns and five interceptions to go along with a 68.1 completion percentage.
