Ankle
December 22, 2015
Canzeri (ankle) announced Tuesday that he will play in Iowa's upcoming bowl game against Stanford, Steve Batterson of the Quad City Times reports. "I'll be good to go. I'll be ready on game day," said Canzeri on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Canzeri left the Big Ten Championship game with an ankle injury and was unable to return. However, with the extended down time between games, Canzeri believes he'll be ready to go when the Hawkeyes take on Stanford in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day. Look for Canzeri to get the first crack at the carries against the Cardinal, with back like LeShun Daniels, Derrick Mitchell, and Akrum Wadley seeing some work as well.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
Canzeri enters the year as the Hawkeyes’ most seasoned back, but he also entered camp behind LeShun Daniels on the depth chart. That’s a big red flag. Even though Canzeri will still get a solid workload in all likelihood, there are legitimate concerns about his ability to turn workload into production. His longest run in the regular season last year was 20 yards, topped only by a 32-yard run in Iowa’s bowl game. Sure, his per-carry average of 4.8 in 2014 is nothing to scoff at, but he failed to reach paydirt in any of his 102 carries. If camp breaks and Canzeri is truly second fiddle in the backfield again, redzone looks may be hard to come by and his lack of big-play ability negatively impacts his value in a big way.
