Devin Smith

Though he only caught 30 passes last season, Smith nearly led the team in receiving yards (618), falling just 51 yards short of Corey Brown, who caught twice as many balls. Smith is a big-time deep threat (20.1 yards per catch) and scored a team-high six touchdowns in 2012. He and Brown will return as Braxton Miller’s top two targets in what should be a dynamic Ohio State offense. The team's run-heavy nature could limit Smith's consistency, though, so he's generally not looking like a reliable option outside of Big Ten-only formats.

Smith was Ohio State's top receiver and a standout playmaker as a freshman last year, showing good chemistry with star quarterback recruit Braxton Miller as he totaled team-leading figures of 14 catches for 294 yards, with a respectable total of four touchdowns alongside them. When those sorts of numbers lead the team, though, there's probably a lack of upside in play, making Smith little more than a player to draft late in Big Ten-only leagues.
