With Dakota Prukop expected to be named Oregon's starter under center and freshman Travis Jonsen his backup, Lockie now finds himself confronted with the difficult reality that he'll likely not see any playing time under center in his fifth and final year in Eugene. That, along with the need to replace Devon Allen until such time he can return to game form after competing in the Rio Olympics, has fueled a shift to wide receiver, where Lockie's overall athleticism and versatility might ultimately be put to better use.
