Marcus Murphy

Murphy hurt his shoulder during individual workouts before the 2011 season and ended up missing the whole year. He enters 2012 as a redshirt sophomore, who could end up seeing a decent amount of carries compared to what he saw in 2010. Missouri tends to love smaller, shiftier backs and Murphy fits that description well. In the little playing time he got as a freshman, he actually performed well, running for 8.2 yards per carry on 22 runs. That carry number will be up in 2012, but with Missouri's tendency to use multiple backs, Murphy probably won't be a high-volume runner.
