Marquise Williams

2024 Fantasy Outlook
There was no outlook written for Marquise Williams in 2024. Check out the latest news below for more on his current fantasy value.
December 7, 2015
Williams completed 11-of-33 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns Saturday against Clemson in the ACC Championship Game, adding 81 yards and a score on 17 carries.
ANALYSIS
Williams was woefully inaccurate throughout the contest, as evident by his completion percentage. But at the end of the day, his fantasy numbers remained strong. That's something likely to continue during bowl season, when the Heels face Baylor in what could be a shootout.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
Williams' fantasy value was limited last year by a dubious rotation with backup Mitch Trubisky, but coach Larry Fedora said the experiment won't extend into 2015. If not, Williams could be one of the nation's best dual-threat quarterbacks, and an elite fantasy option. Despite playing on a highly unstable team that routinely let him down, Williams totaled 35 touchdowns last year (21 passing, 14 from scrimmage). His entire starting offensive line is back, and the Tar Heels have four proven returning wideouts. Still, it's possible the dysfunction North Carolina displayed a year ago could last into this year. Williams is also recovering from offseason hip surgery, which adds to his risk.
With Bryn Renner graduated, Williams is set to take over as North Carolina's starting QB this year. He has work to do as a passer, but he showed excellent upside as a dual-threat QB in a talented Tar Heel offense last season after Renner suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in early November. Williams ran for 441 yards and six touchdowns in the final seven weeks, adding 1,308 yards and 11 touchdowns through the air. That's an average of roughly 24.4 fantasy points per game in standard leagues. He should improve as a passer with a pair of talented red-zone threats in the 6-4 duo of Quinshad Davis and Bug Williams, and Ryan Switzer is one of the nation's elite threats after the catch.
