D.J. Coles

Coles’ knee was slow to recover in August of 2012, and he later reinjured it in the season opener against Georgia Tech, causing him to miss the season. All reports indicate Coles is healthy which has his stock pointing up heading into 2013. The huge 6-foot-4, 239 pounder will be the Hokies’ top receiving threat, and new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler will use Coles' size to create mismatches against linebackers and safeties. He’s not going to make a lot of plays after the catch, but he can get behind defenses, and make almost any catch in traffic. Somewhere in the 800-900 range with 6-to-8 touchdowns feels right here.
