Yates cashed in on 7-of-8 looks from the field, closing with 15 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal during Saturday's upset win over the Fighting Illini. The 6-foot-4 freshman, who worked his way into the starting lineup in early December, has averaged 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals in his seven games as a starter. Yates and the Trojans will look to keep up the intensity following their big win over Illinois against Iowa on Tuesday.
