After scoring 15, 20 and 23 points in his first three NCAA Tournament games, Martin went a bit quiet in wins over Miami and Villanova. A lack of general defensive ability makes it tough for coach Bill Self to play Martin when he isn't scoring with regularity, but the fifth-year senior had his shot going Monday night. He was the only Kansas player to log multiple three-pointers on an evening in which leading scorer Ochai Agbaji was held in check, and the outside shooting of Martin could very well have been the difference in this game. While Martin's scoring average was more than cut in half following a move from Arizona State to Kansas, there's little doubt he's pleased with the championship-winning outcome in his final collegiate season.
