Continues scoring tear even in loss
Mack racked up 18 points (7-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 74-66 loss to Marquette.
ANALYSIS
Mack put together another big game against the Golden Eagles, and he takced on two steals and a block. The 6-foot-2 sophomore's scoring performance hit its peak in the first half as the Hoyas went up by nine points heading into the break, but he was still a big proponent of the close matchup in the second half even in the eventual loss. Since his two-game hiatus in late December due to a lower body injury, the starting point guard has now averaged 19.7 points and 6.3 assists in the following three games. His offensive efforts should be relied on heavily now as Georgetown takes on UConn this upcoming Saturday.
