Love announced in July he will forgo his extra year of eligibility at Wright State to explore professional opportunities, David Jablonski of the Dayton Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
Though he withdrew his name from the 2021 NBA Draft earlier in July to preserve his collegiate eligibility, Love ultimately opted to leave Wright State soon after, as he signed a contract with French club Stade Rochelais. In August, the club announced that Love returned to the United States, and the 6-foot-8 center is now attempting to find work in the G League, per Jablonski. As a senior in 2020-21, Love appeared in 24 games for Wright State and averaged 16.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 28.0 minutes per contest.
