Set to enter draft
George announced Tuesday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Baylor to enter the 2023 NBA Draft, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
George was always thought to be a one-and-done player heading into his freshman season in Waco, and he justified the hype immediately upon arriving on campus. The 6-foot-4 guard 15.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.3 three-pointers and 1.1 steals per contest in 28.6 minutes per contest. However, he shot just 37.6 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three-point range. Despite the poor efficiency, George still shapes up as a potential late-lottery selection in the upcoming draft.
