Turning pro
Morant will announce Wednesday that he is entering the NBA Draft, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As a freshman in 2017-18, Morant flashed some brilliance that showed he had NBA potential, but he picked it up a notch and turned himself into a potential top two pick as a sophomore. He was the only player in the country to average double-digit numbers in assists, but he also flashed his superb athleticism in highlight dunks that contributed to his 24.5 points per game, which was seventh in the country. His crafty passing, explosive offense, plus athleticism and willingness to play defense makes him one of the best prospects in the 2019 Draft class and is seemingly as safe a bet as any other to continue his success at the pro level.
