Headed for NBA
Lively announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Duke to enter the 2023 NBA Draft.
ANALYSIS
The 7-foot-1, 230-pound center had an up-and-down freshman campaign and even lost hold of his starting role at one point, but he closed the season on a high note, averaging 6.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.1 blocks and 1.4 assists in 25.8 minutes per contest while shooting 75 percent from the field over his final 16 outings. His size and skills as a rim protector will make him a candidate to hear his name called in the draft lottery, so his decision to leave school early doesn't come as a major surprise.
