N'Guessan unexpectedly earned the start while star transfer Achor Achor sat this game out after having been absent from the team due to a family emergency. N'Guessan took advantage of the opportunity by posting a monster double-double, shooting 71.4% on 14 shots and having 10 of his 15 boards come on the offensive end. Kansas State has had an influx of potential high-impact transfers but the senior holdover has started 39 of 63 games for the WIldcats over the past two seasons and has proven to be a solid contributor on the interior. While the eventual return of Achor will cut into his time, N'Guessan took full advantage of his early opportunity.
