Jones said Wednesday that he will keep his name in the 2024 NBA Draft and forgo his remaining eligibility at Memphis, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones had the option of playing a fifth season of college basketball, but after receiving feedback from talent evaluators following the NBA Scouting Combine in Chicago, the 6-foot-6 forward will make the jump to the professional ranks. After two- and one-year stops at DePaul and St. John's, respectively, to begin his collegiate career, Jones joined Memphis for his senior season. He finished the 2023-24 campaign with averages of 21.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 2.2 steals and 1.8 assists in 32.3 minutes per contest over 32 appearances.
