Hankins-Sanford appears to have suffered the injury Dec. 1 against NJIT, as he had started the prior seven games for the Minutemen, posting 10.9 points and 7.7 rebounds across 29.4 mpg. He had been making progress, as Ryan Schultz of A10 Talk reported that Hankins-Sanford was seen in practice without a cast back on Dec. 22, and he ended up appearing in the very next game. Malek Abdelgowad had been starting in his stead, which was the case again Tuesday, but he was limited to just 9 minutes -- a six-game low -- with Hankins-Sanford back in the mix. Look for DHS to continue to grow his role with A10 play starting, as UMass hosts Richmond on Saturday.
