Ending college career
GLouisville
April 20, 2021
Minlend announced March 27 via his personal Instagram account that he'll forgo his remaining eligibility at Louisville and call an end to his collegiate career.
ANALYSIS
A fifth-year senior who joined Louisville last offseason as a graduate transfer from San Francisco, Minlend ended up appearing in just seven games for the Cardinals after spending most of the 2020-21 campaign recovering from an MCL sprain in his right knee that he suffered in November. He had the option of returning to Louisville or another school for a sixth year in 2021-22, but he'll instead move on to the next phase of his career. Minlend suggested in his post that he plans to play professionally, but he'll look to get healthy again before seriously exploring opportunities overseas or in the G League.
