Not expected back at VT
Diarra (personal) is not expected to return to Virginia Tech in 2021-22, Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
ANALYSIS
Diarra played in just four games for the Hokies this season before choosing to opt out in mid-December. The senior had been one of the most high-profile transfer acquisitions after a solid run at Kansas State, posting 13.3 points, 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds as a junior. He could return to the Hokies for one final season if he wished, but with the rest of the backcourt also returning and competition for minutes difficult, the expectation is that Diarra won't be in the mix.
