There's no question the Loyola Marymount squad runs through Shelton, who is a fifth-year senior point guard that leads the team in scoring at 18.9 ppg. His bucket Thursday night was arguably the biggest of his career, however, as it gave the Lions a signature win while snapping Gonzaga's 75-game home unbeaten streak. On the back of Shelton, Loyola Marymount improves to 4-3 in WCC play and 14-7 on the season -- a record that also includes resume-building wins against Wake Forest and Nevada.
