Ending collegiate career
A Michigan spokesman confirmed Thursday that Davis won't return to the Wolverines for a sixth year of eligibility in 2021-22, James Hawkins of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Rather than taking advantage of the NCAA extending all players an extra year of eligibility, Davis will call an end to his college career after five seasons at Ann Arbor. After taking a redshirt in his first season on campus in 2016-17, Davis filled a minor role in the Wolverines frontcourt rotation over his final four years. The 6-foot-10 center averaged 5.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game over 23 appearances as a redshirt senior.
