I actually planned to take the day off until Kevin Payne messaged me that a "Happy Hour" contest was up. These have a nice overlay, in today's case $5000 in prize money for 574 $10 entries (-$740) plus 120 tickets to a $25 Grand Slam tomorrow equals $3000, minus the rake in that contest equals about $2,550. That means it's $2550 - $740 or about $1800 of overlay (31%). That's significant.
I should mention before I post the lineup I squandered another $28 yesterday. It's a been quite a losing run, and some of it might be due to bad or lazy lineups, but I think it's also just part of the variance of doing a tournament-only strategy. In any event, my bankroll is now down to $1360.61. I usually don't delve into the details of why I lost, but let's just say I had Stephen Strasburg in five of my eight lineups. Thank God I don't have that SOS in a season-long league, and it wasn't because I was avoiding him, either.
Without further ado, here's tonight's masterpiece:
Pos | $10 Happy Hour | $ |
---|---|---|
P | David Price | 11500 |
C | Molina | 2600 |
1B | Cron | 2500 |
2B | Castro | 2200 |
3B | Sandoval | 2200 |
SS | Bogaerts | 3000 |
OF | Trout | 4000 |
OF | Schwarber | 4100 |
OF | Gomez | 2800 |
Total | 34900 |
I have mini Cubs, Angels and Red Sox stacks with David Price. I don't have Price in season-long, so if he gets shelled, it's not the worst thing in the world.
