DFS Amateur Hour

Due to the worst traffic in the history of Los Angeles (there was a march going on) it took me an hour and 45 minutes to drive two miles with my three-year old in the car. Accordingly, I have no time to post a lineup before the early games start. (I'll look into adding an 8 pm or late-game game version once I post this.)

I did set my RotoWire and Tout Wars lineup (these don't count toward my bankroll because they're free rolls) last night, and everyone seems to be playing. I used the same one for both:

PosPlayer$
PF. Hernandez$11,500
CIannetta$2,200
1BBelt$3,400
2BM. Johnson$2,600
3BMachado$3,200
SSOwings$2,700
OFBrantley$3,800
OFM.Cabrera$2,700
OFC. Carter$2,700
 Total$34,800

Couple thoughts: Mike Rathburn emphasized the importance of the starting pitcher in FanDuel to me last year on our SXM show, and after three weeks of playing, I'm starting to understand why. Felix Hernandez is at home against the Twins, so I paid up. I liked Machado and Cabrera both hitting second at those prices, given their matchups and Belt at Coors. And I expect a Shane Greene correction, so I started the left-handed Brantley on a hunch.

Update:

Here's the late-night one I entered in a $10 tournament:

PosPlayer$
PF. Hernandez$11,500
CIannetta$2,200
1BAlvarez$3,300
2BGiavotella$2,600
3BTomas$2,200
SSB. Miller$2,500
OFC. Cowgill$2,500
OFTrout$5,500
OFC. Carter$2,700
Total$35,000

I stacked right-handed Angels against Wandy Rodriguez - even Mike Trout who caused me to go dirt cheap elsewhere. But I got two other big power bats in Alvarez and Carter. Tomas has a tough match-up against Gerrit Cole, but he was the minimum salary, and he too has power especially in his home park.
