The FSGA Experts draft took place yesterday in NY. It's a 14-team full PPR league with 25/10, 4/6 scoring. I picked 11th. Here are the results:
.11 Davante Adams - I actually have Juju Smith-Schuster ranked ahead of him, but thought there was a decent chance JSS would be back in Round 2, almost none that Adams would, and they're close enough for me to take the gamble.
It also generated this clip which little did I know at the time would generate so much outrage. Here is but a tiny sample:
.4 Juju Smith-Schuster - He fell to me as I had hoped. I have JSS projected to lead the NFL in targets with Antonio Brown gone.
.11 Kenyan Drake - He's the player I had targeted all along. Running backs were flying off the board, and he's fast, explosive and a good pass catcher. More importantly, he has a good chance to get consistent work with Adam Gase gone.
.4 Phillip Lindsay - I considered Mike Williams here, but thought I might be able to get him a round later, and RBs were getting thin. Lindsay is still banged up, on a terrible team and could share carries, so this was probably my least favorite pick in the draft.
.11 O.J. Howard - It's only a question of health with Howard who's produced whenever he's been on the field.
.4 Darrell Henderson - I don't trust Todd Gurley to stay healthy, and even if he does, the Rams - a win-now team - took Henderson in the third round, so I expect him to have a role right away.
.11 Sterling Shepard - He's ostensibly the No. 1 WR in NY and should be useful in PPR.
.4 Devin Funchess - He's the Colts No. 2 WR and likely a red-zone target for Andrew Luck.
.11 Nyheim Hines - The Colts' third-down back caught 63 passes as a rookie and should be usable in PPR.
.4 Jalen Richard - Has 68 catches for 608 yards last year.
.11 Mark Andrews - Coming off a strong rookie year, playing on a team that lacks quality targets.
.4 Kyler Murray - Once Mike Clay took Cam Newton, I was set on Murray, the only player capable of 600 passing attempts and 700 rushing yards.
.11 Josh Allen - He's not the ideal backup for a risky starter like Murray, but the scoring system is a point every 25 passing and only 10 rushing yards, i.e., it favors running QBs.
.4 Justin Tucker - Greatest kicker of all time.
.11 Colts Defense - This was a mistake as they play at the Chargers in Week 1. But otherwise, I like them to be playing with leads this year.
.4 A.J. Brown - Tennessee is crowded with wideouts, but maybe his talent will win out.
