Just a few things that caught my eye:
- Speed kills ... at least it does at home. It's clearly the Bruins' kryptonite. Now if only Montreal could figure out how to bring that game to Boston.
- I guess King Henrik Lunqvist didn't want to be outdone by a fourth-liner in Boston. Or maybe he thought the electrolyte mix in his bottle would be like salt in the wounds of Sidney Crosby. That little squirt was expensive.
- Martin St. Louis. There are no words.
- Dion Phaneuf is on the block. And in other news, cougar-bait Elisha Cuthbert has not lived another day and does not appear to be returning to 24. Phew.
- Is Anaheim EVER going to learn how to change? Teemu Selanne decided to change when the puck was at center ice and possession was in doubt. And Saku Koivu came off the bench without a stick. C'mon, boys. This isn't Timbit hockey.
- Eight points, including five goals, in 10 playoff games. Thomas Vanek has been better than some people think. Seriously.
- Apparently Nashville is just Chicago without Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. At least that's what Assistant GM Paul Fenton said. Hang on for a second while I full myself together long enough to stop laughing.
- Nick Bonino -- are you for real? I think so. Not in a Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry kind of way, but in a 60-point-per-season kind of way.
