So we saw the Jake Peavy trade last night, perhaps facilitated some by the latest wave of Biogenesis suspension rumors. Are there any more relatively big names to be dealt? Who got the better package for their ace - the Cubs with Matt Garza, or the White Sox with Peavy?
I am not a believer in Jose Iglesias - at least, in his bat. I thought that the Red Sox did well to flip him while he still had more value, especially with Peavy signed through 2014.
Do the Cardinals add anyone today? Losing Yadier Molina is a huge blow. How about the freefalling Reds?
Apparently the Phillies aren't going to sell. See Jonah Keri's recent The 30 column (always an excellent read) for more on why this may be logical for them.
Who else can the Angels sell off today? It doesn't help that Ernesto Frieri's value has plummeted in the last 10 days.
