Last night I participated in an "experts" draft heard live on the SiriusXM channel, comprised of different hosts on the channel. The league is 14 teams, PPR format and starts the following lineup:
QB, 2RBs, 3WRs, 1TE, 1RB/WR, 1K and 1D.
I drew the 14th pick and here's how my draft went:
(14) – Drew Brees
(15) – Jimmy Graham
(42) – Stevan Ridley
(43) – Percy Harvin
(70) – Isaac Redman
(71) – Torrey Smith
(98) – Ryan Williams
(99) – Nate Washington
(126) – Evan Royster
(127) – Jon Baldwin
(154) – Felix Jones
(155) – Rueben Randle
(182) – Montario Hardesty
(183) – Buffalo D
(210) – Randy Bullock
As much as I felt Stevan Ridley was a reach at 42, I couldn't see him lasting until my next pick at pick 70. Getting Isaac Redman at 70 was a steal in my opinion, especially since it sounds like he's going to be a three-down back. I'm not thrilled with Torrey Smith as my #2 wide receiver since he's a big-play type of player like DeSean Jackson or Mike Wallace. However, I should have an advantage at QB and TE against most of my opponents so I was inevitably going to be a little weak somewhere. I loved getting Evan Royster and Jon Baldwin where I did considering the upside both have. Felix Jones at 154 is an okay value considering Demarco Murray's health. Rueben Randle should see a lot of targets if the Giants go with a lot of three receiver sets with Victor Cruz in the slot.
Any thoughts?
