Nats at Pirates - Strasburg and Harper take on the Pirates and a very solid YTD pitcher in Kevin Correia. The Pirates are a value today as a big home dog at +150. Correia is 1-2 with a respectable 3.38 ERA. The tricky part is the Nats have lost three straight so this appears to favor the Nats which I can't say it doesn't. I am looking at this game strickly on value as I believe the Pirates are extremely under valued in this game and at +150 it is to hard to pass up.
TV's Take: Pirates +150/ Bet $50 to win $75
Cleveland at Boston - Many of you probably have snatched up Derek Lowe for your fantasy teams as he has pitched better than expected. However, those of you with Beckett have to be disappointed with a 2-3 record and a 4.45 ERA. This game screams over to me as Lowe brings a 5.37 ERA on the road to Fenway. The Red Sox and Indians both are pretty good hitting teams. The Red Sox had been on a good Over streak before they choked last night. I am all over the O9 as I see a Red Sox 7-5 win.
TV's Take: O9 -115/ Bet $115 to win $100
Blue Jays at Twins - Marquis has been the best Twins pitcher over the last few weeks. Read the previous sentence again. That is how dire the situation in MN is folks. Marquis is 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA. It is hillarious listening to the Twins announcers get excited because Marquis can usually make it through five innings before the flood starts. Toronto counters with Henderson Alvarez who is 2-2 with a 2.83 ERA. I do not think I have to even compare the hitting of the two teams. I will say I am also in the crowd expecting way more from Lawrie. However, Encarnacion has picked up both Bautista and Lawrie this year. This stat I love a lot....Encarnacion his 8-16 lifetime vs Marquis with two homers!
TV's Take: Blue Jays -140/ Bet $210 to win $150
