Just a few things that caught my eye ...
- Wake me up when the Sharks and Blues are done. Please. There's more passion in an arranged marriage.
- I'm a Hawks fan but I wouldn't bet against those Desert Dawgs? Seems like they might be out to prove a point -- or earn a job -- on the new Quebec Nordiques come September.
- Braden Holtby really deserved a better fate. Shots were 17-2 in the second alone. Keeper leaguers take note: Holtby > Michal Neuvirth > Semyon Varlamov.
- What exactly was Nicklas Backstrom thinking when he scrummed it up with number 17 in black and gold? Pick David Krejci instead of Milan Lucic next time, my friend. You don't want your nose to match his.
- When it rains, it sure pours. Craig Anderson allowed one goal on the first 18 shots and then three on the next four. Ouch.
- Jonathan Toews is back. At least the Hawks have a fighting chance now.
- Is this the real Patrik Berglund? I'd almost given up on my dreams he'd become the next Mats Sundin ...
- Just how valuable is Martin Havlat to the Sharks? The toothed teal were 25-11-3 this season with him in the lineup. Without him? Just 18-18-7. I think he's key to them getting out of the first round.
- What a combination -- ultra-intense coach, a complete commitment to a team-first system, roster depth like no other team and arguably the league's best goalie. The Rangers will compete for the Eastern Conference Championship.
- Ryan Kesler or David Backes. Discuss.
- Do you understand the NHL/WWE discipline policy? I sure don't. Fine for face to turnbuckle but two-game suspension for forearm to face? But they've got their eyes on you, Shea Weber. I'll bet he's just a-quaking in his Bauer Supremes ...
