As horrific as the Giants game was Monday night, this game was arguably worse, if perhaps less bizarre (no TDs while the coach fiddled with the challenge flag in his sock.) Mercifully I missed significant chunks out it while babysitting my daughter.

• The Ravens sure feel good about Joe Flacco's exorbitant contract in comparison the Andy Dalton's. If Dalton were up for the extension today rather than before the season, how much less would he get? That had to be one of the worst performances by a quarterback in NFL history, especially by one on a team favored by six points or more. Dalton had a QB rating of 2.0, 2.6 YPA and three picks.

• Arguably the Bengals best play was a neutral-zone infraction by the Browns that negated a sack and gave them five yards.

• Terrance West got the bulk of the carries, but it's hard to have confidence that he'll get a full workload in any given game with Ben Tate and Isaiah Crowell both hitting double digits and getting goal-line looks.

• With Jordan Cameron out, Brian Hoyer has to have a bottom-three receiving corps, and he's holding his own. It will be awfully interesting to see what he is when Josh Gordon comes back.

• As I said, I missed significant chunks of this game, and I hardly know what else there is to say about it except I'm feeling lucky to have escaped with the Bengals in survivor last week against the Jaguars.
