Just a few things that caught my eye:
- Patrice Bergeron really is a difference maker. He's easily top five on the list of top two-way pivots in the league.
- I wonder if the brown birds fell victim to West Nile virus. Those new Winnipeg Skeeters have a vicious reputation.
- One steamboat, two steamboat, seventy-three steamboats... how much time can one man have to get a shot off? David Krejci got a gift.
- Fourth time lucky? Ben Eager picked the right night to spend time in the box. No Force and Sully but instead six full seconds of some crazy chick's breasts pressed up against the glass. Wiggling. Sorry Versus fans -- it was a CBC-only peep show.
- Maybe Henrik Sedin is a submissive. It's the only explanation I can think of to explain why he was that dominated in the face-off circle.
- Do you ever get the sense that if the Canucks lose, it'll be because of Roberto Luongo but if they win, it'll be in spite of him?
- A Gordie Howe hat trick and first star selection on that size stage probably drove Kevin Bieksa's starting point for a new contract up by at least a half mil.
- The only thing defensive hockey is good for is sleep.
